A charity auction sale for the benefit of UNICEF under the honorary chairmanship of Queen Mathilde of Belgium took place as part of a gala dinner organised by the famous jewellers Wolfers.


The event was held in the Queen's palace and was the opportunity to raise funds for the poor. Amaury Soares was invited to the event along with a dozen other artists such as Richard Olinski or Philippe Geluck. On that night, Amaury donated two of his numbered and signed fine art photographs among which a capture of LaFerrari, the ultimate supercar from the Prancing Horse brand.


Exploring details and curves, playing with lights and contrasts to unveil what is usually left unseen—such is the work of Amaury Soares. It is not simply about capturing the image through the lens, it is about capturing his vision. Indeed, like a car collector or a lover of fine engineering, Amaury covets his subjects and fantasizes about them.


Amaury Soares is an astute connoisseur of fine cars and both his passions for contemporary art and prestige vehicles coincide as he photographs legendary cars from the international automotive landscape. Thus, his work has been dealing with the bodyworks of Porshe 911 TURBO, Jaguar XK 120, Lamborghini Huracan, or more recently with the Mercedes AMG GT, to name but a few.


All proceeds from the evening went to UNICEF.


The evening was such a success that a second edition of the gala was organised on 1 June 2017.
