Mercedes Pagode I Fine art Photography. Hundreds of photos assembled together to create an artistic vision of this car. Creation "Mercedes Pagode III" Signed & Limited Edition Print.
What do John Travolta, Kate Moss, Sophia Loren and John Lennon have in common? They all owned a Mercedes SL type W113, more commonly known as "Mercedes Pagode". The Mercedes 300SL was a supercar as sublime as it was powerful and soon became an icon of style. But in 1963, after almost 10 years of career, it accuses the weight of years. Mercedes then used the famous French designer Paul Bracq to modify the "SL" range. The Pagoda was born and its career extended until 1971. It will experience three evolutions, 230SL, 250SL and 280SL, with an increasing engine displacement.
Equipped with a clean and beautifully designed cut, the Mercedes Pagoda was the SL that everyone wanted. The Mercedes 250SL is the rarest model, since only 5196 units have been manufactured. However, the final incarnation of the Mercedes Pagoda was launched in 1967 with the 280SL, the most common but also the most sought after and most valuable of all Mercedes Pagodas.
Amaury Dubois, photographer, delivers a unique vision of this Mercedes Pagoda, accentuating each line and every curve, sublimating detail and reflections of light on the body, glass and chrome. An exceptional and fascinating sports car chart. Fine print art of this artistic photography in limited edition, signed and numbered.

Composed with hundreds of photos, his photographic assemblies about symbolic cars put forward the history and all the peculiarities which characterize these models. Amaury Dubois does not present us a simple automobile photography but the idea that we are made of these cars, all that inspires us, as a picture that we would take in our spirit.
«The idea is to recreate a mental vision of a car. When we evoke a model of car, there is not a single image which comes to the spirit, there is a stream of images which comes into the head. I freeze this mental process in a single picture, as the result we have a photography which goes out directly of our imagination.»
The art photographies of Amaury Dubois on the theme of the automobile were revealed for the first time in 2016 during the autoshow Retromobile in Paris.
His work is exhibited in different art galleries across Europe, but some of his pieces are also part to many European and international art collections (in France Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland Switzerland Portugal Brazil USA …). His last exhibition was in Singapore.
