Porsche recently celebrated half a century of its most popular model, the Porsche 911. RS for Rennsport in German is a designation intended for specific models of Porsche to enter into race formulas that required a certain number of cars to be manufactured. With more than 1,500 units produced, instead of 500 required for Group 4, the Porsche 911 Carrera RS obtained its homologation directly in Group 3.
