The art of euphemism was clearly not lost on the engineers of the German manufacturer, with this spectacular Porsche 918 Spyder. Its ancestors are among the brand's most emblematic production and motor sport cars. From a conceptual point of view, the Porsche 918 Spyder is a direct descendant of the Carrera GT, the mid-engine supercar launched about a decade ago, which was an offshoot of the 911 GT1 of the 1990s.
Porsche's use of hybrid technology in its cars is much newer and only the Panamera E-Hybrid pre-dates the 918. Although the word "hypercar" is never used by the manufacturer to describe the 918, it is nevertheless a serious rival to LaFerrari and McLaren P1.

Art photographer Amaury Soares gives us a personal vision of this Porsche 918 Spyder. He deconstructs it and rebuilds it brilliantly, revealing a set of details that could have gone unnoticed were it not for the artist's trained eye.
